I hopped back into Squidoo during the month of February. It seems like they’ve been getting their bugs worked out from their responsive layout update back in December and I’m glad to see it running smoothly again.
I got a lot done during the month (I had a little help from the teenagers too) …
==> LeapFrog LeapPad2 Explorer Disney Princess Bundle – I have to say that for product and review lenses with videos on them, I really like the new wider page layout. I know a lot of people think the videos and images display too large, but I honestly think it makes it more vivid and interesting.
==> Infinity Heart Jewelry and Gifts – This probably won’t get much traction during the rest of the year, which is why it’s light on content and words, but I’ve had pretty good luck with Valentine’s Day gift lenses in the past.
==> Spring Themed Cross Stitch Patterns – This seasonal shopping lens was also a quest challenge. I feel like it’s still missing something though, as soon as I figure out what that something is I’ll add it to the page.
==> Microsoft Surface Tablet PC – I really do dig the new responsive layout with the videos included on a lens, and of course it helps that the Microsoft Surface commercials are totally fun.
==> Men Who Cook – This was done for a Squidoo quest and I think I need to go back and revisit it later to make some adjustments, I feel like something is missing again but I don’t know what it is. I also feel like my storytelling got a bit of track with this one and I may have gone off in the wrong direction.
==> Freezer Cookbooks – Also done for a quest, but I had some keyword research handy to match the topic so this one went together pretty easily in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep.
==> Amazing Red Party Dresses – Another lens I did for one of the weekly IMMINENT quests for Giant Squids. The prompt was “something red” and to be honest it was really hard to make a decision on what to create a page about with such a broad topic as just the color red.
==> Fried Cornbread Recipes – This was my lens for February’s Food Club on Squidoo, I almost didn’t finish up in time. I had to make a second batch of cornbread to get photos because the boys were grabbing them from the kitchen faster than I could make them.
I had quite a bit of help from Keyword Canine during the second half of February ~ that’s one investment that is quickly paying for itself.
