Coffee Collectibles Niche Site Come to Life

So in the last Niche Notebook I talked about the phenomena of Starbucks collectibles and the high price tags they seem to have on eBay in particular. (A full set of Starbucks city mugs sells for around $10,000.) And then also how the site could be expanded with “make it at home” type recipes and fun little tidbits.

Well, the site was brought to life by a reader almost immediately….

New Niche Project Cropping Up Today

Well, I said I was feeling the twitch to start a new niche website. And it finally pinned me down and forced it’s way through today. I was in the shower and that sneaky little thing crept up behind me and smacked me over the head.

I did some quick preliminary searches and there are some good keywords that look like medium competition, quite a few Adwords advertisers already buying spots, and about 100 content ideas floating around in my head. I opened up Namecheap and found a domain name already… it’s sitting in my cart waiting for this last bit of hesitation to wash away from my mind before I click the checkout button. [Read more...]

Finding Niche Forums

Part of marketing your website is finding resources that can make that job a bit easier. This includes networking with others who are interested in similar markets. Finding forums that deal with your particular area of niche marketing is a plus for any online business.

There may be hundreds of thousands of forums for your niche. Try a few to see if they deal with issues that you are looking to explore. [Read more...]

5 Tips to Find a Profitable Niche

There are those who say all the profitable niches have been taken. Of course this just isn’t true. The internet and its users are ever changing. It’s an evolving and growing industry. That means there will always be opportunities.

The challenge is to find those opportunities and to recognize them. Here are the top tips to help you find profitable niche ideas.

#1 Start with what you know. Make a good long list of the things you know and would enjoy writing and/or talking about. These can be one word topics like Football, Beagles, cheesecake and so on. #2 Add what you want to know or are interested in. Add to your list the topics you’re interested in learning more about. If you have a passionate interest it can be a great niche. [Read more...]
