Now is the time to get in on Halloween and fall holiday shopping profits! Seasonal topics are a great way to bring in some extra dollars and a nice stream of traffic to your site for the holidays! From now through the end of the year we have loads of opportunities with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Yule, Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa, and even New Year’s.
I actually started seeing search engine traffic coming into my Halloween blog and Squidoo lenses a few weeks ago, and sales are happening on those pages already. Remember, there are other things to buy other than Halloween costumes and candy. A few of the items I’ve seen selling recently include baking supplies, children’s books (about holidays), craft kits and supplies, decorations, toys, collectibles, clothing (think special events), kitchen decor, candles, cookbooks and magazines, etc….
Think about what is available in your niche for the season and talk about it with your audience. If you’re not sure what kinds of things your audience needs this time of year, ask them! Do a poll or a survey and ask them what they need, what they’re looking for, what they’re already buying, just ask.
