I mentioned the other day a new niche project was cropping up in my 2012 plans. I did a quick keyword search using the freekeywords.wordtracker.com, which is where I do the majority of my keyword research.
I use the free Wordtracker tool because it’s fast, it’s easy, and it doesn’t overload me with a lot of information I don’t need. I used to use it in conjunction with the Google free tool that’s also available, but it always seems like the Google results are skewed a bit – but maybe that’s just my paranoia coming out to play.
At any rate I found myself wondering about some of the more advanced keyword tools that are available on the web today. There’s certainly no shortage of them out there; Wordtracker paid version, Market Samurai, Micro Niche Finder, Traffic Travis, Long Tail Pro, the list goes on and on and on….
I’ve done the trial for Market Samurai and I’ve played around with a few of the others in the list as well. But, nothing has ever really called to me as “the one” keyword tool that I must have.
So I asked on Twitter and Facebook :
What’s your favorite keyword research tool? Is there a specific feature you absolutely love about it?
I received some very interesting responses and I thought I’d share those with you here and hopefully get a few more responses in the comments section below.
Now, I think that was a really interesting point about the search engines and I’m really glad he mentioned it, because I hadn’t thought about it that way.
So what are your thoughts? Chime in below and let me know. I still haven’t made up my mind completely, but I’m leaning towards Market Samurai right now.
